Gou Shan Li

Gou Shan Li is a commercial complex with 22 unique historic villas. Located near the famous West Lake in Hangzhou city, it exhibits cultural features of the southern Yangtze River area in the context of historic Hangzhou city.

After careful analysis of the historic building structures and surrounding environment, ATL consultants created “Enjoy the Moon Shadow” as the theme of the landscape lighting.  Although the complex is now the headquarters for finance and business, ATL consultants simulated the natural moonlight effect with artificial lights to keep the atmosphere of the picturesque historic residences. Soft natural halos created by LED lamps are used to highlight building facades. Meanwhile, the lighting is projected to achieve the effect of “invisible fixture but visible light”, bringing out an elegant and beautiful environment for the historic Gou Shan Li.
