Huancui Tower
Huancui Tower is located at the top of Huancui Hill Park in Weihai city. It is a new pavilion-style building complex that imitates the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368 – 1644) architectural style. It is a landmark building in Weihai, hosting cultural and artistic exhibitions and functions. Huancui Tower also displays Chinese calligraphy, paintings and woodcarvings.
The lighting design scope included the main tower, two wing buildings, the entrance steps, surrounding walls and landscape. Working closely with the architect and owner, ATL designers created a lighting plan of hiding LED lighting fixtures in architectural structures and components. The projection lamps illuminating the roof were customized LED fixtures in the shape of the glazed tiles. The fixtures illuminate the tile surface, while the colour-changeable lights at the top are diffusely reflected. The floodlight of the main tower is a 2700K warm color light.
In consultation with interior designers, ATL created a warm and comfortable space with warm white light of 3000K. 2700K decorative LED lighting strips were used throughout for contrast.
In Weihai, Huancui Tower is a beautiful lookout location. With this lighting effect, Huancui Tower has also become a popular nightscape to visit.
