Show House – Lingshan Zen Town

The Showhouse is a beautiful, scenic building located in Lingshan Zen Town, Wuxi.  Bamboo, water, wood and stone were used to create a natural and comfortable Zen space. The lighting design created a relaxed space for the freedom of spiritual and cultural expression.

In the entrance area, an art piece made with natural bamboo joints was the foreground to a large Chinese ink landscape painting. The lighting design used the method of diffusing to brighten the background painting evenly. The bamboo art created a silhouette effect, creating a dreamlike Zen atmosphere.

On the second floor, the lighting design of the atrium rest area was soft and simple. A comfortable atmosphere was created through even track lights, which illuminated the top portion of the walls. Two rows of customized lighting fixtures were embedded at the bottom of some bamboo joints to supplement the accent lighting.
